  1. Take the Maximum zero fuel mass and add all fuel values except the taxi fuel.
    Taxi fuel is not part of a take off mass.

    Maximum zero fuel mass: 36 000 kg
    Contingency fuel: 900 kg
    Alternate fuel: 800 kg
    Final reserve fuel: 1 100 kg
    Trip fuel: 9 000 kg
    = 47 800 kg

  2. This question makes on sense. You cannot take the MAXIMUM zero fuel mass and add the fuel to get the ACTUAL take off mass. It would have to read ACTUAL zero fuel mass

  3. Totally agree with you Nicolaj, I just added questions like this to show you what the official database looks like. Regretfully sometimes there are these debatable questions. Sometimes you just have to come to as close an answer as possible, and using any of the other options would not have helped at all. Thankfully most exams are done on computers now-a-days so you can easily flag and disagree with questions in the database.
